Food & Beverage Industries
The Mönchengladbach food industry – first and foremost the beverage industry – is strongly positioned with its medium-sized companies as well as the filling and brewing sites of major beverage brands. Medium-sized companies with a long tradition produce juice and confectionery. In addition, there are smaller owner-operated business ventures – such as coffee roasters or microbreweries – that enliven the cityscape. However, the German beverage industry – similar to many other industries – also has to deal with the trend topics of sustainability, health and digitalization. Here, for example, the design of new packaging and deposit systems or new manufacturing processes play a decisive role.
As a modern business development agency, we want to identify needs and challenges in industry segments for companies in Mönchengladbach and tackle them together. In the second half of 2021, we therefore discussed the needs of the beverage industry with companies in Mönchengladbach as well as supraregional industry associations, consumer protection, startups and representatives from research. New ideas are born in conversation. We have created the F & B Industries meeting place so that the local beverage and food industry can jointly address the needs and challenges of the industry. In addition to short presentations, for example from the scientific community, there is above all the opportunity to exchange ideas with one another.
Each industry meeting takes place at a local company from the F&B industries. WFMG is responsible for the organization. Startups from the immediate vicinity of Mönchengladbach, e.g. the Lower Rhine region or the Rhineland, are also cordially invited to the exchanges.
