The Hardt industrial estate and mixed use area in is located in the northwest of Mönchengladbach and has a direct connection to the A 52 motorway. Rheindahlen

Companies on the Rheindahlen industrial estate on the B 57 in the west of Mönchengladbach include Deutsche BP and Rhenus Lub. The project developer Ixcocon has turned part of the site into a logistics park. The favourable location is also reflected in the fact that the Amazon warehouse is located there.

The airport covers a 120-hectare area. The hangar area of the FMG (6 of a total of 11 aircraft hangars) is 14,000 sqm in size. There are currently 26 companies and government agencies based at the airport. With two full flight simulators, the RWL flight school is one of the most modern and largest training centres for commercial pilots in Germany
